How far in advance should I book Chef Lucas?

Depending on the date, usually summer weekend bookings bank holidays, Christmas are serviced to be booked 6-9 months in advance. At the moment our limit is 8 events a day. Last minute bookings may be accommodated.

What areas do you serve?

We’re based in the Midlands - Burton upon Trent, but travel across the UK. Travel is charged transparently at £0.40p per mile. We also travel worldwide with some of our private clients. 

What is required to confirm a booking?

A 20 % deposit is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due prior to the event. Full details will be provided during the booking process.

Services & Experience

What types of services do you offer?

Chef Lucas offers private dining experiences, event catering, meal prep services, and bespoke menus for special occasions, such as Greek Street Food, Mexican Inspired Experience, Grazing Tables, Afternoon Tea and many more.

Can the menus be customised?

Absolutely. Every menu is tailored to your preferences, dietary requirements, and the style of your event.

Do you provide staff or just the chef?

Depending on your event size and needs, we can provide additional staff such as servers or assistants.

What type of events do you cater for?

We catering for any event, weddings, corporate events, any type baby showers, christenings, engagement parties, anniversaries, birthday parties, any celebration!

How many guests can you cater for?

We are able to cater from as little as 6 and as many as 5,000, we have been offering catering services for many years, and have very experienced chefs and staff, having equipment for any service and any event type.

Dietary Requirements

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?

Yes. We regularly cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-specific diets. We collect all dietaries requirements during the booking process.

Do you offer healthy or fitness-focused meal options?

Yes, we can design menus focused on nutrition, calorie control, or specific dietary.

Pricing & Payments

How is pricing structured?

Pricing depends on few factors - date of event, number of guests and location.

Are there any additional costs?

Price we quote its a final price, we don’t add any hidden fees for handling, packing, cleaning, travel etc.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfer, stripe, card payments, cash, PayPal.

What is included in your quotes?

Everything you will need is including in all quotes; travel, staff, set-up, the service ands ingredients, cleaning, waste removal, plates, cutlery and napkins. There are no hidden extras. We can also support with our staff to greet guests and serve drinks etc.

Event Logistics

Do you cook on-site?

Depending on event style some of our services involve just set up, some we bring everything  ready and some we fully cook on a side. 

What do I need to provide?

In most cases, just an appetite ! For private dinning we just request kitchen space. 

Do you handle setup and cleanup?

Yes, we handle food preparation, service, and kitchen cleanup so you can relax and enjoy your event.

What space do you need?

It depends on the service: 

• Street food & live stations usually require a 3×3m space 

• Buffets and grazing tables are adapted to your layout 

We’ll advise you during our call to make sure it works perfectly in your space.

Do you need power?

We are largely self-sufficient, but access to a standard single socket helps certain services run more smoothly. We’ll confirm this with you in advance.

Changes & Cancellations

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable, but we aim to be flexible where possible. Changes or cancellations should be communicated as early as possible.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Yes, changes can often be accommodated depending on timing and availability.
